Baby's first Christmas!!!

We had so much going on during December! Hazel's daddy was in town almost 3 weeks! We did lots of decorating, went ans saw xmas lights, and listened to tons of Christmas music and movies. Hazel had a wonderful first Christmas filled with lots of family, love, and toys galore!

First Thanksgiving

For Hazel's first Thanksgiving we stayed at home and had Grandma, Aunt Amber, and Ford eat dinner with us. She had sweet pototoe baby food for supper. Then we stopped by Grandpa's house to see more family for a little bit. Right now I'd have to say Hazel is very thankful for food, her family, and being held and loved so much. We are so thankful for her and health.

HALF BIRTHDAY!!!!

Hazel's Half Birthday! We went to Dallas to visit Uncle Jeff and Liz and their new home. It was really fun when we went to the Gaylord hotel to see the Whoville Ice sculpture show where we saw the Grinch!

First Halloween

Fall was a fun time for Hazel. We spent a lot of time outside in the nice weather. One day we went to a neat Pumpkin Patch in her first Halloween outfit and played. On actual Halloween night she wore cute Halloween p.j.'s and we answered the door to trick or treaters. She loved seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes at the door. Next year she is going to trick or treat!

5 Months Old

Oh my goodness, my little baby is 5 months old! She is doing so great. Today we tried rice cereal mixed in with milk for her first solid food (she loved it!) and soon in a few weeks we will try real baby food. Hazel has grown soo much in the last month and she started using her stroller without her carseat attached in it. Right now peek-a-boo is her favorite thing to laugh at and she also found her feet in the last few weeks and has decided they taste good. Haha. Here are some updated pictures.

Roll Over ... Roll Over!

Hazel has been real close to rolling over the past three weeks and this morning she finally did it! She went from her back to her front. Yay baby girl!

4 Months Old

Hazel is 4 months old! She got her shots today and (she was not happy but she looked really cute...that picture above is today) She also has a little bit of a cold which is a little scary for Mommy because it's the first time shes been sick. Besides that she is doing great! She is about 50 percentile in weight (13 lbs 12 oz,) height, and head size. I can't even believe she is over double her weight since birth and five inches longer! It seems like she has crossed from newborn to baby in the last month. Hazel has become more interested in people and laughing out loud a lot. This month she starting playing with (and eating)her toys. It's nice that she can start entertaining herself because of better fine motor skills shes developing.

3 Months Old

It's now been 3 months that Hazel has been in this world with us! The main thing that has changed in the last month is her becoming very verbal with her coos and goos. Oh and also drooling a lot I think she may already be teething. Yikes. Plus she started sucking her thumb and hands. Here are some updated photos of her from 2 months to now.

2 Months Old

Hazel is now 2 months old today! So here is the update... she is now 10 lbs 10 ozs and 22 inches long, she has been smiling more, acknowledging her surroundings a lot and getting stronger with better control of her neck/head. Her personality is defiantly coming out... we may have a bit of a drama queen but she's still a sweetheart. Here are some pics of her from 1 month old to now a 2 months old.

The Tongue

Hazel has officially found out that she has a tongue this week. She has it sticking out all the time and tasting everything she touches. It is rather amusing to her and to me because she looks pretty funny doing it! Silly girl.

*Fourth of July*

Hazel's first fourth of July was great. The weather was lovely and she had a very good baby day. We visited Grandpa Young and also got to meet her new best friend for the first time Leighton Holt. The day ended early... no fire works for this little 6 week old (thought it would be a little loud)but she is looking forward to trying them out next year.

Thriller

Hazel's Dad and I are fans of Micheal Jackson. Actually "our song" is The Way You Make Me Feel by MJ. Since MJ has died today Hazel decided to dedicate a dance to him.

One Month Old!
